Burning Debris Seen in the Sky Over Gomel: Possible Drone Attack

Residents of Gomel report the fall of unidentified objects, likely drones. According to them, three incidents were documented in different parts of the city last night, NewsBox reports.

"I saw burning debris in the sky," said a resident of the Volotova district.

Eyewitnesses claim one object fell near the village of Romanovichi, and another in the Novobelitsky district, writes Ostorozhno, novosti (Caution, news).

Preliminary data suggests the drones might have been shot down by air defense systems. However, there are no official comments from the authorities yet.

It is worth noting that in September 2024, a drone was already downed over Gomel, and its debris landed on a warehouse on the outskirts of the city, causing a fire.
