A Secret Visit to Moscow: Who Did Trump's Envoy Bring Back?

The White House confirmed that U.S. envoy Steven Witkoff visited Moscow for negotiations regarding the return of Marc Fogel, who was convicted in Russia on drug charges. The former U.S. embassy employee is already on his way home, reports NewsBox.

The U.S. presidential administration officially confirmed the visit of special envoy Steven Witkoff to Moscow. According to the White House, his mission was connected to discussions about the return of American citizen Marc Fogel, who was sentenced in Russia to 14 years for drug-related offenses.

It's reported that Fogel is already on a plane heading back to the U.S. In Washington, his return has been called an "act of goodwill" from Russia and a "positive signal" in the context of diplomatic relations between the countries, including the situation surrounding the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier today, reports emerged that a private Gulfstream G650ER plane carrying Witkoff landed at Moscow's Vnukovo airport around 10 a.m. However, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian authorities have no information on the visit of the U.S. envoy.
