In the village of Chunsky in the Irkutsk region, a tragic accident happened. A 12-year-old schoolboy decided to show his friend a Los 7-1 carbine which belonged to his father, a former deputy police chief responsible for public order for the Chunsky district.
The boy knew where the keys to the gun cabinet were stored, opened it, and took out the carbine. The boys began examining the firearm.
At the moment when the boy decided to pull the bolt back, he accidentally pulled the trigger. The shot was fatal — the bullet struck his friend in the neck, damaging the carotid artery. In panic, the boy ran for help, but the arriving medics could not save the victim.
The investigative authorities have already begun an inquiry. According to sources, additional weapons — two carbines and a shotgun — were found in the boy's father's house.
