At the Munich Conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia plans to send troops to Belarus under the guise of military exercises this summer. According to him, these forces could be used to launch attacks against Ukraine or Europe, reports NewsBox.

At the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned of potential military threats from Russia. He stated that Ukrainian intelligence has information indicating that Moscow intends to deploy troops to Belarus under the pretext of exercises this summer. These troops could be utilized not only against Ukraine but also against European countries.

We have precise intelligence data that this summer, Russia is planning to send troops to Belarus under the pretense of military exercises. These troops in Belarus might attack Ukraine. Or perhaps they are intended for you, stated Zelensky.

The head of Ukraine also emphasized the need to establish independent European armed forces. He noted that Putin's influence on NATO has grown so significantly that he is practically capable of blocking the alliance's decisions.

Additionally, Zelensky proposed using the Ukrainian army as a foundation for future European armed forces if the United States ceases military support to European countries.

The President of Ukraine also stated that Russia continues to bolster its military capabilities and plans to form 15 new divisions this year. He reminded of the drone attack on the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, asserting that this incident proves Moscow's lack of peaceful intentions.

Zelensky also criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, noting that he hasn't addressed Europe's role in peace negotiations.

If we are not allowed to participate in discussions about our future, we will all lose, he stressed.

In conclusion, he confirmed that Ukraine continues to aspire to join NATO and highlighted the growing estrangement between the United States and Europe.

According to his data, Russia's losses in the war are as follows:

  • 250,000 killed;
  • 610,000 wounded;
  • 20,000 irrecoverable losses in the Kursk region;
  • Complete destruction of the North Korean contingent.
