Washington comments on Zelensky's nuclear arsenal statement

Keith Kellogg, an envoy of Donald Trump for Ukraine and Russia affairs, stated that the likelihood of returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine is virtually nonexistent. He was responding to a statement by Volodymyr Zelensky, who suggested restoring the country's nuclear capability, as reported by NewsBox.

Donald Trump's special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, assessed Kyiv's chances of regaining nuclear weapons. In an interview with Fox News, he said that the probability is nearly zero and such a scenario is impossible.

These remarks were a reaction to a recent interview between Volodymyr Zelensky and British journalist Piers Morgan, where the Ukrainian President proposed restoring the country's nuclear capability if Ukraine's NATO membership process is prolonged for years.

Earlier, the Kremlin harshly criticized Zelensky's initiative, calling such statements "borderline madness."
