Uzbekistan Avoids Flights Through Russia and Belarus

Uzbekistan Airways has begun flying to Europe via Azerbaijan and Turkey, avoiding the airspace of Russia and Belarus, reports NewsBox

The national airline Uzbekistan Airways changed its flight routes to Europe to exclude the airspace of Russia and Belarus. According to Daryo, from January 20, the company's flights will operate through Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The airline's press service clarified that the route change is due to precautionary measures and optimization of logistics. These changes are unrelated to the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Aktau, Kazakhstan, on December 25, as noted by Repost.uz.

Earlier, at the beginning of January, another Uzbek airline, Qanot Sharq, suspended its flights to Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Nizhny Novgorod, citing "operational necessities."
