The Flame of the IX Winter Asian Games Ignited in Harbin

The IX Winter Asian Games have kicked off in China. The grand opening ceremony took place in Harbin and featured the first-ever use of artificial intelligence technologies, reports NewsBox.
In the Chinese city of Harbin, the IX Winter Asian Games were officially inaugurated. The ceremonial torch lighting was a highlight of the event, which for the first time incorporated artificial intelligence technologies. Around 1,000 students participated in the preparations for the opening.
During the ceremony, the flag of Kazakhstan was carried by hockey player Adil Beketayev and short track speed skater Olga Tikhonova. Kazakhstan is represented by 137 athletes who will compete in 10 different sports.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, expressed confidence in the success of the Kazakh team and encouraged the athletes to delight the nation with their victories.
This year, more than 1,000 athletes from 32 Asian countries are participating in the Games.
