NATO Accuses Ukraine of Misuse of Western Weapons

NATO has expressed dissatisfaction with Ukraine's use of the supplied Western weapons, accusing the Ukrainian Armed Forces of inefficiently using expensive equipment, reports NewsBox.

NATO is concerned that the Ukrainian army is wasting costly weaponry ineffectively, employing methods that do not align with the alliance's standards. This is according to The Telegraph, which cites sources in the British Ministry of Defense.

According to these sources, Ukrainian military forces continue to employ tactics typical of the Soviet army, relying on massive strikes instead of precise attacks. This approach results in the rapid depletion of high-tech weaponry.

A British military official noted that NLAW anti-tank missiles, designed for precision targeting, are being used by Ukrainian forces in a manner similar to Russian RPGs, with 5-6 missiles being launched against a single target simultaneously. As a result, the cost of a single volley can exceed 100,000 pounds (over 125,000 USD).

Sources from the publication also emphasized that Ukrainian troops have not had sufficient time to fully train in NATO tactics. Training courses in Europe, initially planned to last several months, were shortened to just two weeks. Consequently, Ukrainian forces are forced to adapt in combat conditions, rather than during training exercises.
