Father in Ukraine Plots Son's Kidnapping Over $500,000

In Ukraine, a man orchestrated the kidnapping of his own son to force him to hand over access to a cryptocurrency wallet containing $500,000. The plot involved the victim's older brother as well, reports NewsBox.

The National Police of Ukraine uncovered this shocking crime: a father hired the abduction of his own son for financial gain. According to the investigation, the father and his older son, while being abroad, devised a plan to seize the funds of the younger brother, who was involved in cryptocurrency.

The criminals planned to kidnap him, subject him to torture, and force him to hand over a flash drive with access to the cryptocurrency wallet, where around $500,000 was stored. To execute this plan, they enlisted third parties; however, the crime was successfully prevented.

The national police are conducting an investigation, establishing all the details of the planned kidnapping.
