Biden's Secret Decisions: Ukraine Received Only Half of the Planned U.S. Arms Supplies

In the final year of Joe Biden's presidency, the White House slowed down the delivery of arms to Ukraine despite the aid being approved. According to Reuters, crucial shipments were delayed due to extended discussions in Congress and fears of escalating tensions with Russia, reports NewsBox.

The White House was reportedly deliberately delaying arms shipments to Ukraine in Biden's last year in office, as stated by Reuters. During their investigation, journalists analyzed U.S. expenditures and spoke with over 40 American and Ukrainian officials.

The publication's data indicates that the delays were attributed to prolonged debates in Congress, which could not agree on allocating an additional $60 billion to Kyiv over several months. Additionally, the Biden administration was concerned that supplying certain types of weapons could worsen the conflict with Russia.

However, even after Congress approved the funding, deliveries continued to be delayed. According to Reuters, by November 2024, Ukraine had received only half of the planned weaponry that the U.S. had intended to supply over the year from its stockpiles.
