Informed sources have stated that Azerbaijan no longer requires external support and does not intend to tolerate opaque arrangements which, according to them, might have an intelligence-gathering nature.

Days before the official announcement, security forces took control of the 'Russian House' in Baku, the headquarters for Rossotrudnichestvo. It was revealed that the organization did not have official registration in the country.
