In Lagos, Nigeria, an emergency landing of a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner resulted in injuries to over 30 people, with six of them being hospitalized with serious injuries, reports NewsBox.
The emergency landing of a United Airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner took place in Lagos, injuring more than 30 people, six of them sustaining critical conditions. On board were 245 passengers, eight flight attendants, and three crew members.
The incident occurred during a flight to Washington. Passengers reported that the plane experienced a series of sudden altitude drops, causing many to hit the ceiling and sustain injuries. Among the most severely injured were two crew members and four passengers, while the rest suffered minor bruises.
Following the emergency landing at Lagos airport, passengers were quickly evacuated from the aircraft, and those injured received immediate medical assistance.
The causes of the sudden altitude changes are still being investigated.
