Lumberjack Commits Grisly Massacre in Kaluga Region

A 63-year-old man suspected of illegal logging orchestrated a mass killing in Kaluga Oblast. He attacked forest service employees: handcuffed two individuals to a radiator and shot the others on the street. Later, the perpetrator set a car on fire before taking his own life, reports NewsBox.
According to SHOT, it became known the day before that illegal logging activities were happening in the Kaluga forest. That morning, five forest service workers visited the suspected perpetrator, Sergey Borisov. However, the visit turned into a massacre.
Borisov captured engineer Lyudmila Nikitina and forester Dmitry Ageev, handcuffing them to a radiator. He then shot the driver and two other foresters outside. After the attack, he set the service vehicle on fire and committed suicide when the police arrived.
It was revealed that Borisov had previous legal issues. In 2021, he was detained for illegal possession of explosives. At that time, a whole arsenal of weapons was found in his house, which he claimed to have collected from battle sites dating back to the Great Patriotic War.
