In Irkutsk, students were compelled to attend a meeting with Yekaterina Mizulina, where they were also coerced into standing and singing the song "Stand Up" by Shaman, sparking a wave of discussions on social media, reports NewsBox.

On February 8th in Irkutsk, a meeting was held at the National Research Technical University with Yekaterina Mizulina, head of the League for a Safe Internet. Before she took the stage, students and schoolchildren were asked to stand and sing Shaman's song "Stand Up."

Eyewitnesses report that a university staff member encouraged all attendees to turn on their phone flashlights and sing along, emphasizing that it should appear genuine. When Mizulina appeared on stage, another song by Shaman, "I Am Russian," played in the auditorium.

Later, social media posts suggested that participation in the event might not have been entirely voluntary, with students being brought there under the pressure of teachers and school staff. However, state media in Irkutsk claimed that all participants interviewed confirmed their attendance was voluntary.
